Can I put the DVD in the computer or the TV/DVD combination?
Both. The DVD will run in either the computer or TV/DVD combination.
 
Why doesn’t the DVD work in my computer?
Most problems with the DVD are from the DVD software program was not properly installed. Find your DVD software and install it to see if that will fix the problem.
 
Is there technical help line for the DVD?
Yes. Call Human Kinetics at 217-351-5076 and ask for tech support.
 
Is it better to play the DVD on the TV or the computer?
It is better to use the TV as there are less technical difficulties. You can also pause and start the DVD with the TV remote easier when reviewing some of the tests and exercises. There is also usually more room in front of the TV then in front of a computer.

Do I have to do all the assessments for a bodypart?
No. You can choose to do just the self test, but to really do a good assessment you can do the self and exercise test. If you can find someone who can do the functional muscle test, that will help further determine any dysfunctions.
 
Where can I get the forms for the tests shown on the DVD?

You can get the assessment forms for the test shown on the DVD (the self test, exercise test and functional muscle test) right here on the Optimal muscle Training web site.

They are also on your DVD. To access them on your computer, click my computer icon on your computer desktop and click the DVD icon with the DVD in the player. All the tests will be there in a PDF format.

You can’t access the test forms off of your TV/DVD set.

 

 
Will these exercises fix or cure my injury?

Depends on the severity of the injury. For simple non-complex problems sprain/strain injuries, the functional rehabilitative exercises will be very beneficial.

For complex muscle, joint, and nerve injuries described in chapter one, you may need specific treatment outlined at the end of chapter 2.

 
Does high risk mean that I will get injured if I do an exercise that is high risk?

In Chapter 4, the risk benefit ratio analysis, does high risk mean that I will get injured if I do an exercise that is high risk?

No. It means that the potential of injury is higher then other techniques, but doesn’t mean you will get injured. Due to conditioning, experience or body type, you can do high risk exercise techniques and not sustain an injury.

 
What is on the book member only section that you need a password for?
There are 3 bonus chapters.

Can I share these forms with my clients?

Do I have permission to give these exercise forms to personal training clients or doctor/therapist patients?

Yes. These are royalty free copyright sheets that you can give to your clients or patients. It is not permissible to put them into a book and sell them. Use these sheets as an added value to your service.

 
Do I print out the exercises sheets in color or back and white?
The pages come out very good in color. There is a loss of clarity and definition when printed in black and white. The pages do not photocopy very well. If you want to save on printer toner, put the printer print quality on economy or draft level.
 
Are these the only exercises needed for my exercise routine?
No. These are an addition to what you are already doing, not a replacement.
 
Where can I get more information on some of the treatments used to treat weight training injuries?
